Good hospitality begins before you arrive.

The information below is intended to make planning easier, from choosing the right bedroom arrangement to organising a dog, cot or electric-vehicle charging.

Netherwood Lodge accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms.

The principal bedroom has a super king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a king-size bed and is served by a separate family shower room.

Master bedroom can be set up as a twin room with two single beds if required. Note, this room has the ensuite and is the only room that can be configured as a twin.

The accommodation is arranged on one level, with an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room at its centre.

Guests may arrive from 4 pm.

Departure is by 10 am on the final morning, allowing the lodge to be thoroughly prepared for arriving guests.

The minimum stay is generally two nights, although minimum durations may vary during particular seasons or over holiday periods.

The lodge is equipped with:

  • Barbecue (£10 charge for gas bottle, please confirm and pay on booking if required)
  • Practical storage and drying space

Minimum Stay is 3 nights.

Any seasonal restrictions affecting the barbecue or outdoor furniture should be stated at the point of booking.

Children of all ages are welcome.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. Guests using the cot should confirm whether cot linen is supplied or whether they should bring their own.

The enclosed garden provides useful outdoor space, although children should be supervised at all times.

Two well-behaved dog are welcome by prior arrangement and subject to the applicable charge.

Dogs should remain off beds and furniture and should not enter the bedrooms. Owners are responsible for supervising their dog in the garden and for cleaning up after it.

Guests should confirm the garden’s gate and fence heights where this is important for their particular dog.

There is parking for two cars beside the lodge.

An external 7kw electric charger is available for electric-vehicle charging by arrangement, with guests supplying the appropriate connector and cable.

Guests bringing bicycles, golf equipment or walking gear can use the lodge’s practical storage area.

Dumfries is approximately 1.5 miles away, giving guests convenient access to supermarkets, independent food shops, cafés, restaurants and other services.

The lodge’s well-equipped kitchen allows guests to self-cater properly, whether preparing simple breakfasts or complete evening meals.

Yes. The combination of two generous bedrooms and two shower rooms makes Netherwood Lodge particularly convenient for couples travelling together.

The accommodation is arranged on one level. Step heights at the entrance, parking surface, shower access, door widths and other accessibility details should be confirmed individually before describing the property as wheelchair-accessible or fully step-free.

The lodge is situated in a rural setting approximately 1.5 miles from Dumfries, providing countryside surroundings without requiring a long journey for shopping, dining or local attractions.

Guests should bring personal toiletries, suitable outdoor clothing and any specialist equipment required for planned activities.

Dog owners should bring their dog’s bedding, towels and feeding bowls. Guests intending to use the external vehicle-charging socket should bring the correct cable and connector after confirming the arrangement with the owner.
