Space to rest properly

Two generous bedrooms and two shower rooms, arranged for privacy, comfort and an unhurried start to the day

A good night’s sleep is not a minor detail of a holiday. It shapes everything that follows.

Netherwood Lodge has two well-proportioned bedrooms, each furnished with a generous double bed. The arrangement works particularly well for two couples, while also providing a comfortable layout for a family or friends travelling together.

With two separate shower rooms, mornings remain relaxed and guests have a greater degree of privacy than is usually found in a two-bedroom cottage.

The Principal Bedroom

The principal bedroom is furnished with a super king-size bed and has its own en-suite shower room.

The room is calm and comfortable, with space to unpack and settle in rather than live from a suitcase. Bedside lighting makes it easy to read before sleep, while the en-suite arrangement gives the room a sense of privacy.

It is a restful space in which to begin the morning slowly, particularly when there is no need to be anywhere at a particular time.

The Second Bedroom

The second bedroom has a king-size bed and is served by the separate family shower room.

It has been designed as a proper second bedroom rather than an afterthought, making Netherwood Lodge well suited to adult guests travelling together.

No one is relegated to a small room or an inconvenient temporary bed. Both bedrooms offer the comfort expected from accommodation intended for a genuinely restorative break.

Two modern shower rooms

The principal bedroom’s en-suite shower room is complemented by a separate family shower room.

This arrangement is especially valuable when two couples are staying, allowing guests to prepare for the day without queues or elaborate timetables. It is equally useful after walking, cycling or spending the day outdoors.

Comfortable for different kinds of stay

The lodge works well for:

Two Couples

Separate bedrooms and two shower rooms provide privacy and convenience.

A small family

Children of all ages are welcome, with a travel cot and high chair available on request.

Friends travelling together

The generous beds, shared living space and practical storage make the lodge a comfortable base for walking, cycling, golf or touring.

Guests preferring single-level accommodation

The lodge is arranged on one level, avoiding internal stairs between the main living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms.

Unhurried mornings and restful evenings

There is pleasure in having time to wake gradually, make coffee and decide what the day should contain.

Perhaps it will be a forest walk, a visit to a garden or a drive beside the Solway. Perhaps the weather will encourage a later start and another chapter of a book.

Whatever the plan, the bedrooms at Netherwood Lodge provide the quiet, comfort and space needed to feel properly rested.
