The Lodge

Contemporary comfort, grounded in the landscape

The character of Netherwood Lodge is evident as soon as you step inside.

An inviting, thoughtfully equipped interior created for uncomplicated country living

The interior is calm, contemporary and welcoming, with a spacious open-plan layout that allows the kitchen, dining area and sitting room to flow naturally together. It is a sociable space, but one that still gives everyone room to relax in their own way.

Natural light and countryside views maintain a connection with the setting, while underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove make the lodge equally appealing during the colder months.

The heart of the lodge

The open-plan living space is where most days begin and end.

Settle into the sitting area with coffee and the morning papers. Plan the day around the dining table. Return from an afternoon outdoors, light the stove and allow dinner to take as long as it takes.

The television and digital radio are available when required, although the views, the fire and the absence of a timetable may prove more persuasive.

Cook, gather and linger

The contemporary kitchen is integrated into the main living area, allowing whoever is cooking to remain part of the conversation.

It is equipped for proper self-catering rather than occasional holiday cooking, with an electric oven and hob, a large refrigerator and a dishwasher. There is ample space for preparing a relaxed breakfast, a picnic for the day or a more ambitious evening meal using produce gathered from local shops and markets.

The dining table seats four comfortably and provides a natural gathering place, whether for dinner, a board game or the planning of tomorrow’s route.

A welcome hamper is provided for your arrival.

Warmth throughout the seasons

Netherwood Lodge has been designed to feel comfortable throughout the year.

Underfloor heating provides an even background warmth, while the wood-burning stove brings additional atmosphere to autumn and winter stays. Logs are included, allowing guests to enjoy the fire without needing to organise supplies immediately after arrival.

In spring and summer, the open countryside and garden become an extension of the living space, with outdoor seating available for meals and drinks.

Practical details, properly considered

The contemporary kitchen is integrated into the main living area, allowing whoever is cooking to remain part of the conversation.

Good holiday accommodation should make life easier.

A dedicated storage and drying area provides somewhere for walking boots, wet coats, golf equipment and bicycles. Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge, and a washing machine adds convenience during longer stays or active holidays.

Parking for two cars is available beside the property, allowing luggage, shopping and outdoor equipment to be brought in without difficulty.

An understated approach to luxury

At Netherwood Lodge, luxury is expressed through space, warmth, quality and ease.

It is the pleasure of returning to a comfortable room after a long walk. It is having two bathrooms when travelling with friends. It is a kitchen in which you can genuinely cook, a fire you can light and a garden in which you can sit without sharing the space with other guests.

Everything has been arranged to help you settle in quickly and enjoy the lodge as your own.
