Galloway Forest Park
For a longer day out, Galloway Forest Park extends across forests, hills and lochs in the west of the region. It is a place for walking, cycling, wildlife watching and scenic drives, with routes suitable for a broad range of abilities.
The park was recognised as the United Kingdom’s first Dark Sky Park. On a clear night, the absence of major light pollution reveals a depth of stars rarely visible from more populated areas.
